Freddy Alva was born in Peru & grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens. He edited two of the first NYHC fanzines to feature Graffiti, co-released the seminal New Breed Tape Compilation, ran Wardance Records & booked shows at the early Abc No Rio scene. In the past couple of years he has written online articles for Noisy/Vice, No Echo, Mass Appeal & Cvlt Nation.

Popmaster Fabel is a member of the Rock Steady Crew, dance instructor, choreographer, visual artist, educator, Hip Hop historian, DJ, film maker, activist and more.

We dive into his new project, Pillars Of Ivory, which also features Death Threat vocalist Aaron Butkus; Hudson valley hardcore, Mindforce touring plans, mutual love of hip-hop and seeing himself in the “Kings At Crime” CD layout back in the day.
